About David
David Whitten is a founding partner of Whitten & Lublin, earning his law degree from the University of Windsor and completing an intensive trial advocacy program at Osgoode Hall before being admitted to the bar in 2002. For more than twenty years he has advised executives, founders, and professionals on wrongful and constructive dismissals, executive exits, compensation and equity disputes, terminations for cause, and workplace conflict, representing both employees and employers over his career. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario as well as numerous tribunals, and favours resolving disputes through negotiation and settlement where possible. His current practice concentrates on advising senior executives, founders, and leadership teams on complex exits, governance issues, and board-level disputes. David co-authored Carswell's HR Manager's Guide to Independent Contractors in the Workplace and is regularly quoted in the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail and interviewed on CBC and NewsTalk 1010 on workplace law topics.
