About Susan
Susan Garvie is a partner in Goodmans' Employment, Pensions and Executive Compensation Group and its Mergers and Acquisitions Group. Her employment law practice covers executive agreements and compensation, the employment side of purchase and sale transactions, workplace reductions, restrictive covenants, and unionized workforce issues. She also advises clients on wrongful dismissal, severance, workplace harassment, human rights, pay equity, and diversity initiatives, among other HR matters. On the transactional side, Susan has worked with public and private companies on a range of merger and acquisition deals, building particular strength in Canadian private equity transactions and cross-border deals for American buyers of Canadian companies. Her broader practice touches corporate/commercial work, financing, restructuring, liquor licensing, and entertainment law.
