David Hay is a senior litigation partner at Richards Buell Sutton focusing on estate litigation, commercial litigation, and family law, and has appeared at all levels of the British Columbia courts with extensive mediation and trial experience. He joined the firm as an associate in 1991 and became partner in 2000. He serves as president of the Canadian Bar Association (BC) Benevolent Society and previously chaired Pain BC, and is known for cycling advocacy, leading the Road Safety Reform group. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1988 and appointed King's Counsel in 2015, and was recognized by Best Lawyers for 2020-2026.
