About Scottie

Scottie Scott has practised exclusively in family law for over 30 years, becoming a lawyer at age 35 after earlier careers in construction, education, and counselling. He commenced his legal career as a solicitor in real estate and corporate matters before turning to civil litigation and then family law, and now holds accreditations as a mediator, arbitrator, and parenting coordinator, favouring alternative dispute resolution to prioritize the well-being of children. As a name partner of Peterson Stark Scott he was the senior family law partner, and continues his family law practice as associate counsel following that firm's 2024 merger with Hamilton Duncan.
