About David
David Pope's practice focuses on the resolution of corporate and commercial disputes, securities litigation, shareholder disputes, and environmental and oil and gas litigation. Prior to joining JSS Barristers as an Associate in 2021, he articled and practiced in the litigation group at a regional firm in Edmonton, and has represented clients before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Court of King's Bench, the Court of Justice, and in arbitral proceedings, as well as before the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada. David earned a Bachelor of Commerce from MacEwan University in 2014 and his JD from the University of Alberta in 2018, where he won the Wilson Moot and was on the Gale Cup team that won Best Team Not in the Final. He was called to the Alberta bar in 2019 and volunteers with the King's Bench Court Assistance Program.
