About David
David Palamar is senior counsel with more than three decades of experience in income tax law. His career has taken him through a national law firm, one of the major international accounting firms, the federal Department of Justice's National Tax Litigation Section, and the Canada Revenue Agency. At the law and accounting firms he advised individuals and both private and public corporations on tax matters, and at Justice he appeared before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal. During his time at the CRA he worked in Corporate Finance and Corporate Reorganizations, issuing rulings and interpretations on complex mergers and acquisitions and advising the agency's GAAR committee. He holds an LL.B. and a B.A. from the University of Manitoba and was called to the bar in 1988.
