About Josiah
Josiah Davis holds a partner role at Beitel Tax Law LLP, focusing on corporate reorganizations and on CRA disputes involving owner-managed and high-net-worth clients, including matters before the Tax Court of Canada. He has broad experience structuring tax-efficient corporate reorganizations and regularly steps in to represent taxpayers through audits and Tax Court appeals. A good portion of his client base comes from franchising and hospitality, along with taxpayers whose real estate transactions have drawn CRA scrutiny, and he also helps clients fix past filing errors through the voluntary disclosures program. He co-edits Beitel Tax Disputes for the Owner-Manager, is active in the Canadian Tax Foundation's Young Tax Practitioners group, and has published in the Canadian Tax Journal and Canadian Tax Focus. He coaches the Bowman Moot team at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law and takes part in its mentorship program. Before joining the firm, Josiah articled and served as an associate at a Toronto-based international law firm; he holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 2018.
