About Alexandra

Alexandra Ilchuk is a tax lawyer and senior associate at Advotax Law, focusing on tax controversy and litigation for owner-managed businesses, individuals and corporations. She has represented clients in CRA audits and appeals and before the Tax Court of Canada, and has resolved disputes involving GST/HST, shareholder and employee benefits, real estate issues and net worth audits. She holds a Professional Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, along with a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from MGIMO University's Faculty of International Law in Moscow, Russia, and is currently pursuing a further LL.M. in Tax Law at Osgoode. Before joining the firm she worked at a global accounting firm in Russia and as a summer associate at a law firm in Paris. She belongs to the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates' Society, and is fluent in English, French and Russian.
