About David

David McQuillan is an associate at Cavalluzzo who joined the firm in 2025 after summering and articling there. His practice covers employment law and litigation, labour law, constitutional law, and Aboriginal law and Indigenous rights. David received his JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2024, where he co-led a legal education group at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, externed with the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights, and edited the Journal of Law and Equality; he also spent a semester at King's College London studying international human rights law. He was first drawn to law after working for a legal charity in his hometown of Charlottetown, PEI, helping clients access affordable legal services. David also holds an MA in English Literature from Dalhousie University and a BSc from the University of Prince Edward Island.
