About Bernie

Bernie is counsel at Cavalluzzo LLP whose practice centres on arbitration and labour board representation for private and public sector unions at both the federal and provincial levels. He also specializes in education law, representing teacher federations and their members in collective agreement disputes and before the Ontario College of Teachers, and he advises clients on collective bargaining strategy and agreement administration. Bernie has a particular interest in human rights, especially the duty to accommodate, and regularly litigates on behalf of workers with disabilities. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1984 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1982, and he has been recognized as a leading practitioner in labour law by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
