About Balraj
Balraj Dosanjh co-leads Cavalluzzo's Labour Practice Group and maintains a broad practice spanning employment, labour, pension and benefits, civil litigation, constitutional, and professional regulation law. She represents trade unions across sectors such as postal services, retail, health care, education, and criminal justice, advising them and representing them in grievance arbitrations, human rights proceedings, and court. On the employment side, she acts for non-unionized employees facing wrongful dismissal, workplace investigations, and human rights issues, and writes regularly for the Globe and Mail's Nine to Five column. In pensions and benefits, Balraj advises trade unions and individuals and litigates disputes with plan administrators. She is Past Chair of the CBA's Constitutional and Human Rights Section and has been co-counsel on several constitutional challenges against provincial and federal governments. Called to the Ontario bar and the Nova Scotia bar in 2015 after studying at Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law, Balraj is a member of the South Asian Bar Association and speaks Punjabi.
