About David

David Himelfarb is the managing partner of Himelfarb Proszanski, where his practice centres on personal injury and civil litigation. He earned his LLB from the University of Windsor in 1987 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1989. Over his career he has appeared before every level of court and tribunal in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, and several of his cases have become reported precedents. His matters have ranged from motor vehicle and catastrophic injury cases to the Menu Foods tainted pet food class action, a taxation case affecting the drywall industry, and workplace injury appeals before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He belongs to the Advocates' Society, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. David supports several community organizations, including the Brain Injury Society of Toronto, the Ontario Brain Injury Association, and the Toronto Rehab Foundation.
