About David

David Hayward was called to the bar in 1994 and practises in Burlington with Martin & Hillyer Associates. He maintains an active motor vehicle accident practice, focusing on both tort and statutory accident benefits issues to ensure clients are fully compensated, and he has conducted numerous arbitrations and argued appeals before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He now represents claimants before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and handles LTD, CPP, and other personal injury claims. Alongside his personal injury and disability work, David practises criminal law with a focus on mental health issues, frequently being appointed to represent accused individuals who are mentally ill and conducting hearings before the Ontario Review Board. He also handles bail hearings. David is a Director and Past President of Acclaim Health, a charitable organization providing home and health care assistance in Halton.
