Martin & Hillyer Associates is a group of lawyers practising in association in Burlington, Ontario. Robert Martin and Bruce Hillyer founded the firm in 1972 as a small town law office in downtown Burlington, and it's grown alongside the community for more than 50 years since. The firm now operates from Skyview Drive in Burlington, and most of its lawyers focus on personal injury work: car accidents, slip and falls, catastrophic and traumatic brain injuries, medical malpractice, and long term disability and insurance disputes. It also takes on civil claims for survivors of sexual assault and child abuse, a category that includes institutional, historical, and health care provider cases.

Alongside that injury practice, the firm handles wills and estates, real estate, family law, business matters, and criminal defence, so it works as a full service firm rather than a single specialty shop. One lawyer at the firm has been a Law Society Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation since 2004. Personal injury files are taken on a contingency basis, capped at 30 percent plus disbursements, so there's no fee unless a claim recovers something, and the firm offers a free initial consultation.
