About Megan
Megan Mutcheson practices exclusively in family law, guiding clients through separation and divorce with what she calls caring expertise for what are often difficult, emotional times. She works to resolve family law matters fairly, cost-effectively and in a timely manner, and sees herself as a tenacious advocate who still brings compassion to negotiations and litigation. Megan completed an honours degree in legal studies, sociology and criminology at the University of Waterloo in 2008, then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2011. While at Queen's she took part in the Clinical Family Law Program and clerked for two family court judges in Kingston. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012 after articling with a large Bay Street litigation firm, and joined Martin & Hillyer Associates in December 2021. Her practice covers divorce, separation agreements, decision-making and parenting time, child and spousal support, property division, and marriage and cohabitation agreements.
