About Andrew Bergel

Andrew Bergel acts for people who've been seriously hurt in accidents, with one aim: helping them get back to the way life was before the injury. The work spans serious car crashes, falls and dog bites, along with brain injuries, catastrophic impairment and disability claims.

Personal injury has been Andrew's whole practice since joining Bergel Magence LLP, a Toronto injury firm, in 2001. Andrew was called to the Ontario bar the next year, after law school at Osgoode Hall, and became a partner in 2007. A child of founder Hy Bergel, Andrew is now one of the three partners who lead the firm.

Andrew has argued matters at the Superior Court of Justice and before the Financial Services Commission. A serious car accident of Andrew's own means the pain and frustration that injured clients and their families go through isn't abstract. Working with a team, Andrew makes sure each client gets the right medical and rehabilitative care, and customer service is something Andrew takes seriously.

Away from the law, Andrew has an unusual title: in 2005 Andrew won the Rock, Paper, Scissors world championship against a field of more than 500 players, after entering as part of a friend's bachelor party. Andrew is also a parent of four.
