James was called to the Bar in 2010 and practises exclusively in personal injury and civil litigation. With his colleague Laura Hillyer, he was among the first lawyers in Ontario to move to strike a civil jury during the COVID-19 pandemic and to run a fully virtual personal injury trial. He's President of the Halton County Law Association and an associate with Hillyer Professional Corporation.
