About James

James was called to the bar in 2010 and focuses his practice on personal injury and civil litigation, representing people injured through negligence. Working alongside colleague Laura Hillyer, he was among the first Ontario lawyers to successfully strike a civil jury during the pandemic and later to run a fully virtual personal injury trial by Zoom. He serves as President of the Halton County Law Association, previously led the Brain Injury Association of Peel & Halton, and has sat on the board of the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association. James has chaired seminars for several legal organizations, including OTLA and the Hamilton Law Association, and is an associate with Hillyer Professional Corporation.
