About David

David Fung began at the firm as a summer student before articling and joining as an associate in 2019. His practice centres on shipping and transportation matters, marine insurance, and property damage claims outside the marine context, spanning both local and multi-jurisdictional disputes. His clients have included freight forwarders, vessel operators, cargo owners, and insurers in matters involving collisions, contamination claims, and salvage. David also advances subrogated claims for insurers, working with homeowners, small businesses, and larger corporate insureds on losses from fire, flood, and product liability. He has litigated matters before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, the Federal Court, and international arbitration panels. David co-chairs the firm's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and is involved with the Canadian Bar Association's maritime law section in British Columbia.
