About Daria
Daria Batkin is CEO and a founding lawyer of Icon Law Group. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2009 after earning her LLB from the University of British Columbia, having earlier completed an LLM in civil law. She has appeared at all levels of British Columbia courts and negotiated hundreds of settlements, and her practice today spans privacy law and data protection, artificial intelligence governance, personal injury, and commercial transactions. She holds the CIPP/C and AIGP designations, and served 15 years on the Canadian Bar Association's Women Lawyers Forum executive, including as chair from 2018 to 2020, receiving the 2025 Women's Executive Network GAIL Award.
