About David

David Thera is a senior partner at McKercher LLP's Regina office with extensive experience in health law and liability defence. His practice focuses on health law, defence of general and professional liability matters, and professional discipline. He joined the firm in 1988, became a partner in 1997, and has chaired both the firm's Executive Committee and its Health Law Practice Group. A Battleford native, he served as President of the Canadian Bar Association's Saskatchewan Branch from 2011 to 2012 and as President of Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan. David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Saskatchewan in 1983 and a Bachelor of Laws with distinction in 1986, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers since 2012.
