Cristina Guida is a Partner and the Corporate Immigration Practice Director, holding Law Society of Ontario certification as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law. Her practice helps personnel from multinational corporations and small businesses gain entry into Canada, covering visitor and study permit applications, work permit categories such as Labour Market Impact Assessments and intra-company transfers, and applications under trade agreements like USMCA and CETA. She also handles citizenship applications and permanent residence categories, including family class sponsorships and economic streams such as provincial nominations and the Federal Skilled Worker program. Before joining the firm, Cristina spent five years with the immigration enforcement branch of the Canada Border Services Agency, where she represented the Minister of Public Safety at Immigration and Refugee Board hearings, experience she now draws on in enforcement and litigation work including inadmissibility and detention reviews, Immigration Appeal Division appeals, and Federal Court proceedings.
