His work has included representing a mechanical contractor in a delay claim arbitration, a geophysical contractor in a commercial fraud billing dispute, a municipal contractor in a tendering dispute, and a sprinkler head manufacturer in a product liability claim. He has been involved in numerous reported decisions, including matters before the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Courts of Appeal. Colin earned his LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1996 and a BSc with honours from Dalhousie University in 1991. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1998 and the Nova Scotia bar in 2001, was named King's Counsel in 2024, and chairs Stewart McKelvey's Practice Innovation Advisory Committee.
