About Colin
Colin Johnston is a partner at Lenczner Slaght whose litigation practice focuses on healthcare law and administrative law. He has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario and before various administrative tribunals, and regularly represents professionals in civil and regulatory proceedings, advising on medical assistance in dying, mental health law, hospital governance, medical malpractice, and professional regulation. From 2009 to 2014, Colin was counsel to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, appearing as lead counsel in numerous hearings before its Discipline and Fitness to Practise Committees. He previously practised litigation at a large national law firm in Toronto, handling complex commercial and regulatory disputes. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003 and holds an LL.M. from University College London, an LL.B. and an M.A. in Philosophy from Dalhousie University, and a B.A. (Honours) in Philosophy from Trent University.
