About Robert
Robert Barbiero is a partner in the firm's Litigation Group whose practice focuses exclusively on health law and professional discipline. He represents regulated health professionals in regulatory, administrative and civil proceedings, including College complaint and section 75 investigations, discipline hearings, registration matters and incapacity proceedings. His work also extends to hospital privilege disputes, audits, and cases before the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board and the Health Services Appeal and Review Board. Robert has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and regularly speaks at university and college faculties on issues affecting regulated health professionals. He has been an elected member of the Ontario Bar Association's Health Law Executive since 2017 and previously chaired that Executive. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2015 after earning his JD, MA and BA (Hons.) with High Distinction from the University of Toronto.
