About Colena

Colena Der is a partner at Osler whose practice focuses on advising Canadian and foreign-based clients on the taxation of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and employee and executive compensation matters, with particular attention to the resource, emerging companies, and technology sectors. Her tax practice also includes settling tax disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency. Colena Der is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Calgary Bar Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society, and she is past chair of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Bar Association's Taxation Specialists (South). In 2022, Colena Der was recognized by Lexpert as one of Canada's Rising Stars among leading lawyers under 40.
