About Emily

Varga is a co-founding partner of VML Family Law who has practised family law for most of her legal career. As a certified mediator and arbitrator, she works to help separating families reach amicable resolutions, and she also acts as a parenting coordinator helping parents develop effective parenting plans. She is also a skilled litigator who has appeared at all levels of Alberta court, including on international child abduction matters under the Hague Convention, mobility applications, and as counsel for children. She handles the full range of family law matters, including adoption, asset division, and support, and volunteered with Student Legal Assistance while attending the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, where she received the 2014 Grant McGibbon Prize.
