About Daniel

Daniel A. Hawkwood is a partner at Beaumont Church LLP, focusing on property law and corporate and commercial law. Born in Calgary and raised on his family's cattle ranch northeast of Cochrane, he earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Ancient and Medieval History from the University of Calgary in 2007 and completed his law degree at Dalhousie University in May 2011. He articled with Boyne Clarke LLP in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia before returning to Alberta and joining Beaumont Church LLP in the summer of 2012. His practice covers residential, commercial and agricultural real estate transactions, energy project lease negotiations, commercial and agricultural financing and leasing, business asset and share transactions, incorporations and corporate restructuring, and contract review and drafting. He sits on the boards of the Stockmen's Memorial Foundation and Quest Theatre Society.
