About Chunyi
Chunyi Huang is an Associate at JSS Barristers fluent in both English and Mandarin, practicing in administrative, public and regulatory law, appeals, arbitration, class actions, construction law, corporate and commercial litigation, defamation, employment law, oil and gas litigation, securities and shareholder litigation, and trusts, wills and estates litigation. Before attending law school in Canada, she earned two law degrees in China and was admitted to practice law there in 2018, working at a national firm's Shanghai office on foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance matters. Chunyi immigrated to Canada in 2019 and completed her JD at the University of British Columbia in 2022, where she volunteered with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program and competed in the 2021 Adam F. Fanaki Competition Law Moot. She holds an LL.M. from Wuhan University and an LL.B. from Nankai University, and was called to the Alberta bar in 2024.
