About Dr.

Francois Wessels practices commercial and corporate litigation, shareholder disputes, cross-border commercial disputes, and regulatory law at Loberg Ector LLP. He completed his Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws specializing in corporate law, and a Doctor of Laws specializing in mercantile law at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where he also worked as a research assistant and sessional lecturer teaching transnational business law and legal philosophy. Francois is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Legal Practice Council of South Africa, the Law Society of Saskatchewan, and the Law Society of Alberta, where he practices only in Canada. He has worked on matters before the Federal Court of Canada, the Courts of King's Bench for Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba, the Court of Appeal of Alberta, the Courts of Appeal for Saskatchewan and Ontario, the Supreme Court of Canada, and the United Nations Human Rights Committee.
