About Christopher

Christopher Davis is Senior Counsel at Lidstone & Company with more than 35 years of experience advising local governments, developers, and public bodies. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1985 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and an LLB from the University of British Columbia. Davis spent 14 years as in-house counsel with the City of Calgary and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, including as Acting Director of Legal Services. In private practice he has represented municipalities, developers, community associations, and individuals, focusing on planning and development law, and has appeared in more than 150 reported Subdivision and Development Appeal Board matters. He chairs the Canadian Bar Association's Municipal Law Section and joined Lidstone & Company to focus on municipal, planning, and regulatory matters.
