About Grant

Grant co-chairs the firm's national product liability group and takes point as counsel in class proceedings, individual lawsuits, and mass tort matters spanning multiple provinces, particularly for life sciences clients. His litigation practice centers on defending manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer goods, and agricultural products, and he also advises on commercial and procurement disputes. He appears before courts across British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, and before the Federal Court of Canada and its Court of Appeal, handling both trials and appeals. Grant belongs to the International Association of Defence Counsel, sitting on the executive of two of its committees, and is also part of the Defense Research Institute. He often teaches and speaks for the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates' Society. Outside the firm, he serves on the board of the Greater Toronto Hockey League and spent six years on the Leaside Hockey Association's board, three of them as president.
