About Christian

Christian Garton is an associate in the Disputes group at Osler's Vancouver office, advising clients on commercial litigation and insolvency matters. He represents parties in mediations, negotiations and litigation, with notable experience in contract disputes, class action defence, regulatory issues, fraud and privacy matters. On the insolvency side, Garton counsels corporate debtors, creditors and court-appointed officers through complex restructurings, receiverships and bankruptcies, and has appeared before every level of court in British Columbia. He draws on a finance background, having earned a degree from the University of Western Ontario and worked at a boutique analytics consulting firm before turning to law. Garton holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia.
