Sylvain Racette has belonged to DWF's Insurance Law section since it was established and has argued cases at every level of court in Quebec. Racette acts mainly for general insurers, advising on coverage issues and litigation strategy and conducting statutory examinations ahead of trial. Racette coordinates the firm's Insurance Law section and regularly assists claims adjusters and other insurance clients through the claims process, including preparing for subrogated recovery actions. Racette has appeared before the Quebec Court of Appeal on matters spanning transportation law, insolvency, suretyships and professional liability insurance. Racette was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2002 after completing a Bachelor of Law at the Université de Sherbrooke.
