About Chésa
Chésa is a lawyer in MT+Co.'s Indigenous Law Group focused on revitalizing Indigenous legal orders, asserting jurisdiction over services for Indigenous children and families, and UNDRIP implementation. A proud member of Xʷsepsəm (Esquimalt Nation), she worked as a law clerk for six Justices at the Supreme Court of British Columbia before joining the firm. She was called to the BC bar in 2025 and holds a joint JD/JID from the University of Victoria, and received the Changemaker Award from the BC Museum Association in 2018.
