About Jacob

Jacob advises clients across the construction industry, with a practice centred on litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and adjudication. He also helps clients draft, review, and negotiate construction and design contracts. Jacob has worked on complex court and arbitral matters tied to major infrastructure projects, such as tunnelling, light rail systems, hospital redevelopment, and highway expansion. He frequently lectures on topics like tendering, prompt payment, and delay claims, and serves as newsletter editor on the executive of the Ontario Bar Association's Construction and Infrastructure Law Section. Jacob was recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for construction law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2016 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2017.
