Wills, Estates & TrustsCarolle Fernando is a Partner in Cox & Palmer's corporate commercial practice group and a member of the firm's tax group. Before joining the firm, she was a partner with a national accounting firm focused on tax law. Carolle advises a broad range of business clients on income tax planning, corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, and succession planning, and is frequently sought for technical tax analysis and written tax opinions. She also advises on and implements trusts for tax, estate and succession purposes, spanning business trusts, family trusts, alter ego trusts and joint partner trusts, and has experience advising multinational clients on cross-border tax and corporate matters. Carolle graduated from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and was called to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2003 and in Ontario in 2019. She is a member of STEP Canada, the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the Board of Directors for the University of King's College.
