About Bushra

Bushra Amir Ali focuses on trademark clearance, filing strategies and portfolio management for clients across Canada and abroad, advising on the protection and growth of their intellectual property. Her work includes negotiating IP-related agreements and shaping broader IP strategy tailored to each client's goals. She has worked with entrepreneurs, start-ups and small and medium enterprises through government-funded programs such as IP Assist and Elevate IP. Bushra articled at Shift Law before being called to the Ontario Bar and holds a concentration in Intellectual Property and Information Technology from Western Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Western Journal of Legal Studies and co-founded a student IP legal clinic. Before law school she worked in legal innovation at a large firm and in global compliance at a national bank.
