About Asiya

Asiya Hirji supervises the Refugee and Immigration division at Downtown Legal Services, with an emphasis on litigation. She appears before all levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court, has argued before the Federal Court of Appeal, and handles temporary resident permits, pre-removal risk assessments, and humanitarian and compassionate applications. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2009.
