About Salman
At Wray James LLP, Salman Rana handles general litigation matters spanning commercial disputes, administrative law, employment, and labour law. Before joining the firm in 2023, he practised independently, representing clients in civil and commercial disputes including breach of contract, professional negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty, and he completed his articles at a boutique Toronto litigation practice. In law school he worked as a research assistant to several professors, which led to research support for intervenors appearing before the Supreme Court of Canada on public policy issues, and he co-founded and served as senior editor of Inter Alia, a student-run legal blog that won the 2020 Clawbie Award. He earned his J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2020, was called to the Ontario bar in 2022, and is fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
