About Brittany

Brittany Keating is a partner in McInnes Cooper's St. John's office, representing and advising provincial and federally regulated employers in employment, labour, and human rights law. She advises on employee discipline and termination, wrongful and constructive dismissal, diversity and inclusion, human rights compliance, collective agreement administration, and workplace health and safety, and regularly drafts employment contracts and workplace policies. Brittany has acted as chief negotiator and legal advisor to employers during collective bargaining and has conducted workplace investigations into harassment and discrimination complaints. She has represented employers in court, at labour arbitration hearings, before the labour relations board, and at human rights tribunals. Brittany sits on the Board of Directors of the Murphy Centre and the Income and Employment Support Appeal Board, and previously chaired the Young Lawyers section of the Canadian Bar Association. She earned her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2015 and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2012, and was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 2016.
