About Joseph

Joe Herschorn is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office with over a decade of civil litigation experience, called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2009. His broad litigation practice covers business disputes, professional liability, and construction disputes, and he has represented clients at all levels of court in Nova Scotia, including civil jury trials, as well as in the Supreme Court of PEI and in commercial arbitrations. His professional liability work includes acting as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association in defending civil actions and regulatory proceedings before the College of Physicians. In construction matters, Joe has assisted contractors and owners with lien disputes, deficiency claims, payment disputes, and bonding and insurance issues, and advises clients on negotiating construction contracts. He earned his BA from the University of King's College in 2005 and his LLB from Dalhousie Law School in 2008, and is a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers' Society of America.
