About Brett

Brett Anderson advises public companies, private equity sponsors, infrastructure investors, Canadian pension plans and other institutional investors on complex deals with significant stakes. His practice spans public and private M&A, private equity and infrastructure investing, and other significant corporate matters across sectors such as telecom, financial services, real estate, technology, mining, energy and entertainment. Anderson works with private equity sponsors and institutional investors on control and minority investments, co-investments and preferred equity structures, frequently in multi-jurisdictional and time-sensitive deals. He also counsels Canadian and international companies on securities law and governance issues, working alongside boards and management teams on governance practices. Before joining Osler, Anderson practiced M&A and fund formation at another Toronto law firm. He holds a J.D. and an M.B.A., along with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, all from Queen's University.
