Bijon Roy practices employment law, labour law, human rights and discrimination, administrative law and judicial review, Charter litigation, and access to information law, and manages the firm's Supreme Court of Canada agency practice. He has acted in matters before the Ontario Superior Court, Divisional Court, Court of Appeal, Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, and has extensive experience before administrative tribunals including the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board. He has developed particular expertise conducting research under access to information legislation, incorporating it into his litigation and advocacy work. Roy earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2004 and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from McMaster University and the University of Toronto. Before joining Champ & Associates, he articled and practiced for seven years at a union-side labour firm in Ottawa, acting for public and private sector unions and employees.
