John C. Singlehurst co-founded Finlayson & Singlehurst with Donald G. Finlayson in 1989, after both had practised together at Meredith & Finlayson. He was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1969 and is a Registered Patent & Trade-mark Agent who, as a former Patent Examiner, specializes in mechanical engineering and intellectual property law. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University (1962) and an LL.B. from the University of Toronto (1967). His practice covers patents, trademarks, industrial designs and copyright.
