About Beverly

Beverly Ellingson is a founder of Terra Law Corporation, having left equity partnership at McCarthy Tetrault LLP in 2013 to start the firm. Her practice involves extensive work with real estate developers and commercial landlords and tenants, advising on the acquisition, structuring, financing, development, construction, leasing, and sale of investment and development property across industrial, commercial, mixed-use, multi-family residential, and seniors' independent living projects. She also advises on construction disputes, lease defaults, builders' lien matters, and FINTRAC compliance. Best Lawyers recognizes her for Real Estate Development and Commercial Leasing, and Lexpert and Report on Business have named her one of Canada's leading infrastructure lawyers. She holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1990.
