About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Yip is a founder of Terra Law Corporation, having left equity partnership at McCarthy Tetrault LLP in 2013 to start the firm. She works with owners, developers, lenders, borrowers, and landlords on all facets of commercial property, including acquisitions and sales, development, rezoning and permit approvals, commercial leasing, real estate financing, and clean power projects. She has acted for the master developer of the UniverCity community at Simon Fraser University and for major developers of condominium and mixed-use projects, and has extensive dealings with local governments across British Columbia. Lexpert recognizes her as a repeatedly recommended lawyer in Property Development, and Best Lawyers names her a leading lawyer in Commercial Leasing Law. She received a BA in Political Science from UBC in 1984 and an LLB from the University of Toronto in 1987, was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989 and the British Columbia Bar in 1992, and is fluent in Cantonese.
