About David

David Raposo joined Dutton Brock in 2006 and made partner in 2013. His practice is dedicated to defending insurers, with particular emphasis on first-party accident benefit disputes, and he appears for insurers at every level of court in Ontario as well as before the Licence Appeal Tribunal. He previously chaired the Accident Benefits Substantive Law Committee for Canadian Defence Lawyers. David earned an honours BA in criminology and psychology from the University of Windsor in 2000, followed by his J.D. from the same school in 2003, and he was called to the bar in 2004. He completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Course at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006 and, in 2023, obtained a certificate in mediation and conflict management from Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation.
