Andrew Silverman is counsel focused on corporate taxation. His work touches domestic tax planning as well as international tax planning, spans mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, and extends to capital markets deals and inventive financing structures. He has worked on Canadian and cross-border acquisitions and reorganizations, along with structuring and issuing a range of financial instruments plus other capital markets activity. Outside deal work, he has acted for taxpayers challenging assessments from the Canada Revenue Agency and Ontario's Ministry of Finance. He is affiliated with the Canadian Tax Foundation, and his continuing education includes the CICA In-Depth Tax program as well as the Canadian Bar Association's course on tax law for lawyers.
