Aubrey Charette, a member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg in Quebec, is counsel at Metallic Law working on self-governance, advisory work, and civil litigation for First Nation clients. She was called to the New York Bar in 2011 and the Ontario Bar in 2015. She began her legal career in the commercial litigation department of an AmLaw 100 firm in New York, then worked at the Specific Claims Tribunal helping resolve historic First Nations grievances against the Crown. She holds civil and common law degrees from McGill University and a bachelor's and master's degree in economics and politics from Oxford University, and has worked on international development issues for War Child Canada, the United Nations, and the Canadian federal government.
