About Atanu

Atanu Haldar is an Associate in Cox & Palmer's St. John's office, pursuing a corporate practice with a particular interest in commercial law, corporate law, mining law, and commercial litigation. He regularly acts for clients in commercial transactions involving share and asset purchases, and has experience acting for domestic and international lenders and borrowers in the mining sector, including corporate financing, incorporations, limited partnerships, joint ventures, and licensing agreements. He earned his JD from the University of New Brunswick in 2020, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, both from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. He completed his articles with the firm's Newfoundland office and was called to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in April 2021. Atanu speaks Bengali and English and serves on the Regional Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
